Friendswood ISD is happy to invite the community to attend the fourth annual Under the Oaks celebration. The event will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in front of the Friendswood Schools Museum.

It will be an evening of fellowship for the students, parents, staff and community to hear from Superintendent Thad J Roher and other staff about the 2021-2022 school year. The celebration will include the opportunity to visit with the FISD family over kettle corn and lemonade.

Roher believes the sense of community is something essential to the identity of Friendswood.

“A big part of Friendswood is the importance of relationships,” Roher said. “I want to reach out to the community and invite everyone to come together in unity as we kickstart a new school year.”
